How it works

  1. Connect your Tesla account

    Sign in with Tesla once. Your password stays with Tesla. Add up to three Tesla accounts, for example a personal and a Tesla Business account.

  2. Add your tool's inbox as a recipient

    In Settings, paste the inbox address of your accounting software, choose the recipient type "Accounting software" and press Send test to check that the inbox accepts our emails.

  3. Every invoice arrives as its own document

    Each Tesla PDF becomes one draft bill or document, monthly, right after each charge, or both.

Which tools can receive them

Everything here works over plain email. This is not a native integration: PlaidInvoices sends the mail and your tool reads it like any emailed invoice.

Works directly

Add the tool's inbox address as a recipient. Nothing else to set up.

Allow our sender

Add the address, then allow invoices@plaidinvoices.com as a sender in the tool.

Forward from your own address

These tools only accept mail from your own address. Keep delivery to yourself and set up a forwarding rule to the tool's inbox.

Any other tool that takes invoices by email should work the same way. Use Send test to check.

Send each Tesla's invoices to the right books

With several Tesla accounts (up to three), limit each recipient to the accounts you choose. For example, only the company car's invoices go to the company's accounting inbox, while the personal car's invoices stay with you.

Is this a real integration with my accounting software?

No. It is email-based: PlaidInvoices sends the PDFs to your tool's invoice inbox and the tool processes them like any emailed invoice. There is no API connection.

What about QuickBooks and DATEV?

Both only accept mail from addresses you registered yourself, so we cannot send to them directly. Keep delivery to your own address and forward the emails with a mail rule. For DATEV Unternehmen online, register your address as a sender in Upload Mail first.

Can I send past months?

Yes. With Pro you can send a past month from the dashboard to the same recipients.

My tool rejects the emails. What now?

Press Send test next to the recipient. It sends a small test PDF so you can see whether the inbox accepts our emails. If it does not, check that invoices@plaidinvoices.com is an allowed sender in your tool.

Will my accountant or inbox be emailed without consent?

You add the addresses, so only add inboxes that are meant to receive your invoices. Every copy has a link to stop receiving copies, with no sign-in needed.
